Livestock

Our livestock sales currently take place weekly every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We also have a seasonal sale on a Friday of suckling calves.

Offering an excellent service for the cattle and sheep producers of North Wales, our staff are always willing to assist with marketing advice and selection.

We PAY all producers promptly on the day of sale.

Tools, Machinery & Vehicles

Our sales currently take place monthly on a Saturday selling from minor hand tools up to heavy plant & machinery. Our popular monthly machinery auction is always well attended and we have great facilities, including a cafe and large car parking area.

The machinery auction is made up of three areas - the calf ring (minor hand tools), the sheep pens (garden equipment and smaller machines) and the agri yard (farm machinery and implements).

We advise anyone wanting to purchase on the day of sale to come into the office to obtain a buyer's bidding card before the auction begins at 10am.

In-take strictly between 9am and 12 noon Friday 14th February - no entries accepted on the day of sale.

Sale to commence 10am Saturday in the Calf Ring, and 11am at the Agri Yard.

We at Morgan Evans also provide on-site dispersal sales for small or large establishments, livestock and deadstock. Our valuers will guide you through the process from start to finish, providing advice to ensure the best possible service.

    Christmas Prime Lambs & Cull Ewes Show and Sale 2019

    Messrs Morgan Evans & Co report an entry of 1300 lambs and 250 Cull Ewes & Rams. An excellent turnout of lambs for this years’ event with the prize winning section attracting strong bidding for the top quality lambs on offer.

    The Judge, Mr John Williams, Esless Farm, Wrexham, awarded the Show Champion to Mr Gareth Rowlands, Bryn Dernog, Llanddeusant with five Beltex lambs weighing 38.5kilo. The Championship winning pen was later sold to the Judge realising a value of £114 (296ppk). The Reserve Prize also went to Llanddeusant with six lambs weighing at 36.5kilos from Mr Paul Barnsley, Bron Heulog securing the award. This pen was later sold to Mr Emyr Williams, Delfryn, Llithfaen for £120 (328ppk).

    The Best Pair of Butchers Lambs class was well competed with a pair of 41kilo Dassenkop X lambs from Mr Gareth Rowlands, Bryn Dernog securing the title. Phil Smith Esq, Cefn Ynysoedd, Llanfaglan bought the pair for £110 (268ppk).

    Top prizes in the Young Farmers section went to Esyllt Carlisle, Trefonen, Caergybi for a single lamb (£80, 210ppk) and a pair of lambs from Alys Jones, Prys Owain Fawr, Llanerchymedd (£94, 213ppk).
